Submit a Microsoft Word manuscript to Annals of British Medical Sciences. Please follow the Word document instructions below before uploading.

Before you submit

File format

Prepare your manuscript as Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or PDF.

Manuscript max 4 MB. Extra images are sent separately. Allowed types: .doc, .docx, .pdf.

Additional images

You can upload extra figures here if they are not already in the Word file. PNG, JPEG, or WebP. Up to 20 files, 2 MB each. This does not count against the manuscript size.

Use our article template when possible. Download the Word file to write in, and the PDF as a layout reference if available.

12 pt Times New Roman, double spacing, wide margins
Include page and line numbers for reviewers
